The Inner Critic

No specific intention at the start, no idea where this painting was going. Someone told me the character on the left was looking down on the girl. Indeed, I felt he was watching out for her, observing. For some reason I feel strongly for this little, a bit awkward, girl. Seeing it again, it struck me as being the picture of me and my inner critic….

The Inner Critic, to be fought and disregarded or does he also has his role to play as our protector ?
